Russian-Armenian Unviersity
Russian-Armenian University was established following the inter-state agreement between Armenia and Russian Federation in 1997.Starting from 2002, scientific centers, institutions and problem research groups have been developing within the university.
In the same year RAU opened a post-graduate course.
In 2002, RAU organized a specialization group for the research group "Physical foundations of nano- and optoelectronics" in the fields of semiconductor nanophysics and nanoelectronics, which started its work as a technical faculty.
The Department of General Physics and Quantum Nanostructure was founded in 2005. NanoQIQO, Twinning towards the Russian-Armenian University’s scientific excellence and innovation capacity in nanomaterials for quantum information and quantum optics is currently running at the RAU.
